For the quantity of barbecue dishes I make, I realized I should make it easier on myself than breaking out 7 different spices every time I want to rub some goodness on something and just have an all-purpose bbq seasoning mix ready on stand-by.
Instead of listing out every single ingredient involved, I’ll likely refer to this spice mix in recipes to come!
To substitute this mix in place of other spices in a recipe, simply find the sum of the spices called for and replace it with an equal amount of this rub. For example, if a recipe calls for 2 tsp paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp onion powder, use 1 tbs + 2 tsp of this mix in their place.
Enjoy bbq-ing!
